Please move this post if it is wrong place, but i couldn't find a better place for 1 vs 1 builds.

A guildmate of mine uses a annoying build on his warrior,

Sever Artery, Gash, Riposte, Deadly Riposte, Shield Stance, Gladiators Defence, Healing Signet and something else wich i forgot.

He has been using this build for ages and has become really good with it. He easily wins with 2 vs 1 and its becoming a matter of honor now. I want to beat him once, does anyone know a counter against this build?

I have got a lvl 20 Paragon, Ranger, Necromancer, Elementalist, Assassin, Warrior.

The Assassin only has acces to factions skills and the others only have acces to Prophecies and Nightfall.

Please dont just close this post because it is wrong placed

I was going to say 'LOLUR BIULD IS BAD!1!' but then I saw the riposte warrior wasn't your build, but his.
A necromancer should not ever have a problem with a riposte stance tank. Degen him with Reaper's Mark, add in some curses like Insidious Parasite, an interrupt for his heal sig, a self heal, and you're set.
An elementalist with blinding flash > this build. Try this:
Elemental attunement, Lightning Hammer, Lightning Orb, Blinding Flash, Enervating Charge, Air Attunemtent, Aura of Restoration, Mending Touch.
Basically, you can't really beat a riposte tank with a melee.

HeH, don't see how he kills other warriors as anyone with a brain could just stand there and hit healsig, his server+gash would never kill. Any caster should be able to easily beat him, stack degen+melee hate hexes on him and pack one interupt for his healsig like complicate, rust, ignorance...

Tell the guy who made that build to uninstall, this game is not meant to be played 1v1, even worse is the fact that people cannot figure out how to beat a stupid build like a riposte tank.

Phixion,

An easy build to play would be something that you can kite him and degen. Play a build that you're not completely unfamiliar with. Degen, slow/cripple him, and bring an interrupt for his heal sig. The best bet is probably your ranger.

Necro can also do it, especially with a Me secondary.

Go Me/A with crip anguish and disrupting dagger, maybe some degen hexes and feigned neutrality/dark escape. Hex him up, d-dagger his heal sig, and run around in circles.

hmm...his build is horrible since he uses sever artery AND deadly ripo....

just use your ranger....burning arrow+apply poison+distraction shot on healing sig...=?!?!?

n/me speccing in blood/domination would net him a very fast death and you hardly a scratch

and 2000 other builds........in fact the riposte war build is very narrowly focused

Always good times facing a riposte stance tank with a cripshot/ burning arrow ranger... Reminds me of fighting one of my friends guild leader to prove the guy was not "Un-beatable". As it turned out, The guy would do nothing but mending touch, healing signet, sprint, enraging charge around the entire map and then call it a draw 19 minutes later. (After I had already killed all the npcs in his base except a knight, bodyguard, and the guild lord. The guy hit me twice the entire fight, his health never got above 50% if he was in radar range of me.)

In Summary: Just grab anything that doesn't do damage with melee attacks, If the guy wants to run just tell him to go back to RA.

Take your warrior, go War/Nec, max blood, max tactics, tactics helm, bring Life Transfer, Life Siphon, Plauge Touch, Distracting Blow *for his heal sig*, Wild Blow *for his glads*, and whatever else u want, you win.

Assassin with [wiki]Expose Defenses[/wiki]. Try the old quad-KD build Yanman used to post like crazy everywhere he could access, with some points allocated to Deadly Arts. Battle should be over in less than ten seconds.

Elementalist/Mesmer
Conjure Phantasm, Images of Remorse, Imaginary Burden. Gale when he tries to heal. Of course since he doesn't have Factions for this dude... maybe...

Necromancer/Elementalist
Life Siphon, Dark Pact, Faintheartedness, Water Trident, Gale. Trident when he tries to move. Gale when he tries to heal.

Expose Defenses on an Assassin should be be able to kill him within 5-6 hits. Black Lotus -> Twisting Fangs -> Mobius Strike -> Horns of the Ox -> Mobius -> Horns -> Mobius

Did you split your Factions key to another account? Black Spider is just too good for school...

This advice is bad.
Take your ele and take advantage of the things he doesn't have: Enchant removal, hex removal and condition removal.
Elemental Attunement, Air Attunement, Aura of Restoration, Lightning Hammer, Lightning Orb, Enervating Charge, Blinding Flash, Mending Touch.

Keep him blind permanently, kill him with orb and hammer.

Im not very good at pvp as you noticed. I tried the burning arrow and stuff but he evades it. About the hexes like SS and Insidious, he just doesnt attack. I remembered his 8th skill wich is Holy Veil.

Thanks for the tips, I capped Reapers Mark today so im going to try again with degen and buy some mesmer interupt.`What mesmer interupt do you suggest, Power Spike and Power Leak wont work right.

And about the split accounts, it was an accident =/.
